As last year, we
were invited to the June meet of the Pegasus Motor Club held at The North
Bristol Rugby club. Now whether I misunderstood the original invite, or there
was a mishap on the Pegasus part, I told all of our drivers and passengers that
a barbeque was to be held, so no tea was needed that night. A convoy of rods,
vans and classics left the Griffin at 7 pm, travelling along the ring road onto
the M32, M4 and finally a short trip onto the M5 to exit onto the A38. |

Arriving about
7.30 pm we were met by members of the Pegasus club with their cars, but no
barbeque - much to the disappointment of more than a few hungry tummies! Still,
cars were examined by rodders and racers alike and stories exchanged whilst
liquid from the bar was consumed. As the evening progressed individual cars
left to return home (or go for food) whilst last to leave were Neil, Carol and
myself who returned via the motorway network to our side of
town.
